H. C. and Maxine Foster Graduate Fellowship in Accounting

College of Business – Accounting The H. C. and Maxine Foster Graduate Fellowship in Accounting shall be a permanent endowment and shall be used for the benefit of the Accounting Department in the College of Business. Funds distributed from the endowment shall be used to provide graduate fellowships to students pursuing a graduate degree in Accounting in accordance with the following criteria:

  • Recipients must be enrolled or will enroll in the graduate program in the Department of Accounting including but not limited to the Master of Science in Taxation (MST) program and the Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) program.
  • Scholarships may be given to more than one student per semester/year.
  • Recipients just have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Recipients must have worked at least 20 hours a week during the prior semester (unless the current semester is the first semester for the graduate student) and intend to work at least 20 hours a week during the scholarship period with work being defined as employment by independent third parties in the private or public sector. This stipulation is intended to include any students that have been for the prior semester, or will be for the current semester, graduate teaching assistants (GTE) or graduate research assistants (GRE) or other comparable designations as determined by the Department of Accounting.
  • Recipients of this scholarship shall to be denied consideration again for this scholarship in the future solely as a result of receiving this scholarship from a previous semester/year.
  • All determinations under these and all other stipulations in this endowment shall be determined by the Department of Accounting in its sole discretion.
