David E. Groner Endowed Scholarship Fund
David E. Groner Endowed Scholarship was established to honor the memory of David E. Groner, long-time member of the Department of Communication at the University of Texas at Arlington, serving from 1964 to 1991. This scholarship provides assistance for motivated and academically able students who are pursuing a degree in communication studies and who demonstrate financial need.
Applicants must be incoming freshmen with an intended/declared major in communication studies with a minimum 1100 SAT/ 24 ACT or be in the top 20% of the high school class. With satisfactory progress toward a degree, as determined by the Groner Endowed Scholarship Selection Committee in the Department of Communication, the freshmen recipients may continue to receive this scholarship assistance for up to four subsequent years.
Requirements: Application, professional resume, personal statement (career goals, related extracurricular activities), SAT and/or ACT score reports, and high school transcript.
