Society of Iranian American Women for Education (SIAWE) Endowed Scholarship
Student Affairs – Office of Int’l Education The Society of Iranian American Women for Education Endowed Scholarship shall be used for the benefit of the Office of International Education. Applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students with priority given to undergraduate students enrolled during the fall and spring semesters. 2. Recipients must have lived or matriculated from Iran or currently be or have been the dependent of individuals who have lived in Iran for the majority of their lives. 3. Applicants should have a current GPA of 3.75 for graduates and 3.0 for undergraduates at the time of the award and maintain these GPAs to receive the Spring portion of the award. 4. Applicants must have financial need. 5. Applicants must submit a 300 word essay in English conveying personal information the applicant wishes to be considered for evaluating need and qualification for receiving the award. 6. Must have a signed degree plan on file with the Office of International Education, if applicable.
This scholarship will pay for tuition, fees and books only.

- Please submit a 300 word or less essay demonstrating your financial need and your drive and ambition in obtaining a higher level of education.
- The applicant is required to provide two letters of recommendation from persons who can provide information about his/her leadership potential; avoid using instructors that have known you for less than a year. The recommender can be supervisors of past or present jobs, mentors, coaches, scout leaders, or adult leaders of organizations. Professors or teacher are acceptable, but they need to know you well. Please upload the two letters as one document.
