Murray C. and Nona Poston Journalism Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Poston’s, world travelers who spent 20 years traveling and writing articles for the travel industry and various news organizations. In 1979, at age 66, Mrs. Poston graduated from UTA with a journalism degree. Established in the Poston’s will, this award provides support to future journalists.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be a journalism major at UTA,
• must be a sophomore/junior/senior full-time student in fall
• must maintain a 3.0 gpa, and
• should demonstrate extant or potential skill for writing.

In order to apply, you must submit the following materials:

• application,
• letter of application
• evidence of journalistic ability/experience (i.e. clips, outstanding class work, etc),
• an unofficial transcript
