Jack Fitzer Endowed Scholarship Fund

College of Engineering – Electrical Engineering The James W. Mitchell Endowed Scholarship serves as a memorial to James W. Mitchell, a 1964 civil engineering graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington. The fund provides for an annual award to a graduating senior who has selected geotechnical engineering as an area of special interest and has excelled in both civil engineering and geotechnical engineering course work.

Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled as a graduating senior in the Civil Engineering program at UTA and have an interest in geotechnical engineering;
• Must be honest and possess high moral character
• Must have made contributions to the promotion of civil engineering and he University

Applicants must provide an essay regarding career goals, contributions to the promotion of CE and UTA, moral character and financial need.
