Gary Teague Endowed Civil Engineering Scholarship

The Gary Teague Endowed Civil Engineering Scholarship funds shall be used to provide scholarship support to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Full-time junior or senior level student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
  • Texas resident for previous 5 years
  • Graduate from a North Texas area High School
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Application requirements to include the writing of a maximum two-page essay responding to the following two questions:
    a. Are you motivated more by achievement or contribution? Explain your answer and give examples from your personal life.
    b. What does “doing the right things, right” mean to you? Explain your answer and give examples from your personal life.
  • The scholarship will be awarded on a competitive basis with a preference given to students who have demonstrated a financial need.
