Allan Saxe Students With Disabilities Scholarship Fund
This prestigious scholarship is awarded from the Student Affairs office each fall and spring semester to a student with a disability who excels academically at The University of Texas at Arlington as well as in community/leadership activities.
Minimum qualifications are as follows:
1. All applicants must be a first-time undergraduate student at UT Arlington.
2. All applicants must have completed at least 12 hours at UT Arlington to be eligible for this scholarship.
3. All applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA and be in good standing with UTA to be eligible for this scholarship (e.g. not on probationary status)..
4. All applicants must be enrolled full-time at UT Arlington (full-time status is defined as a minimum of 12 UTA hours or no less than 9 UTA hours and have prior approval of a reduced course load by the Student Access & Resource Center).
5. All applicants must maintain full-time status for the duration of the scholarship period.
6. Your application must be accompanied by two letters of recommendation from UT Arlington faculty and/or staff.
7. Your application must include a 500 word essay.
For disability verification purposes, all applicants must be registered with the Student Access & Resource Center (formerly known as The Office for Students with Disabilities).
