Simmons-Blackwell Endowed Scholarship

This application offered through the Scholarships Office. Tom and Linda Simmons, classes of 1972 and 1977, respectively, established this award to encourage first generation college students. Applicants must have completed less than 90 hours, must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, must be a first-generation college student and must have demonstrated financial need. This scholarship is not renewable. Students that received this award in a previous academic year must reapply for consideration.

Included in the criteria for awarding this scholarship is “demonstrated financial need” which requires the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not completed this form, please go to http://www.uta.edu/fao/ for further information and assistance.
