Dr. Jack Fitzer Memorial Scholarship in Engineering Endowed by Dr. Tony & Mrs. JoAnn Wong

The Dr. Jack Fitzer Memorial Scholarship in Engineering Endowed by Dr. Tony & Mrs. JoAnn Wong shall be a permanent endowment and shall be used for the benefit of the College of Engineering (“College”) at the University. Funds distributed from the endowment shall be used to support outstanding students who meet the following criteria: 1. Applicants must be full-time students 2. Applicants must be international or out of state students, not receiving in state tuition rate. 3. Applicants must have completed preparatory or undergraduate education in East Asia or Southeast Asia. 4. Applicants must be admitted to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree in the College. 5. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.6. 6. Applicants must have financial need as described in a statement about work history since they have become students at the University and the inability of family to provide financial support towards attaining a degree. The College may seek additional documentation for such need as appropriate. Preference will be given to students majoring in Electrical Engineering.
