Weiss Family Endowed Scholarship in Industrial Engineering

College of Engineering – Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering Scholarship. The Weiss Family Endowed Scholarship in Industrial Engineering was established by Keith Weiss, an IE graduate from UT Arlington, with the purpose of providing financial assistance to engineering students at UT Arlington who demonstrate potential for success in their field of study. The award is intended to be used for tuition, fees and books for the awardee(s). The eligible person must be a working student that demonstrates applying what he/she has learned on the job, and applying principles of the IE curriculum.

Persons eligible for the award must: Be enrolled full-time at UT Arlington, with a declared major in Industrial Engineering. Be either a full time junior or senior undergraduate and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA at the time of application which must be maintained if the applicant wishes to reapply the following year. Preference will be given to working students applying Six Sigma techniques to their work, and current and future Alumni Association members. Factors in consideration for selecting the awardee will be based on financial need, demonstrated focused career goals, and good standing with the University. One page essay is required.
