Kathryn Head Scholarship Endowment - TRIO SSS

Kathryn A. Head devoted over 30 years of her career to serving UTA undergraduates, especially first-generation students, low-income students, students with disabilities, and underrepresented students. She wrote multiple TRIO SSS grant proposals over the years, in addition to writing the original grant that established the Ronald E. McNair Program at UTA in 1990. As the diverse needs of the UTA student grew, she later served as director of SOAR Learning Services until her retirement in 2009. The award honors Kathryn’s legacy and her commitment to education for students in TRIO Collegiate Programs.

This scholarship is available to current TRIO Student Support Services students who participated in in the program during the current academic year. Applicants can be from any degree program at UT Arlington.
