Requirements:
The Eugene W. Anderson Memorial Scholarship is restricted to the physical education program. Students eligible for the Anderson Scholarship will be sophomores or above with declared majors in KINE with a teacher education certification emphasis. In deciding between equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to males planning on a career in elementary or secondary physical education as they are historically underrepresented in this area.
Factors to be considered in the selection process will include:
• Evidence substantiating the student’s intention of pursuing a career in Physical Education teaching (K-12).
• Evidence demonstrating aptitude for success in the physical education teaching profession.
• Evidence demonstrating financial need.
